Job Description:
As a product policy analyst, you will support our product
offerings with a public policy perspective, serving as a bridge
between our product team and the policy community. You will work
cross-functionally to monitor and comply with global regulations;
create written materials outlining our responsible product approach
(e.g., policy briefs, white papers, and government filings); and
support product deployment. The role is highly cross-functional and
requires an ability to take initiative, work with diverse internal
and external stakeholders, and execute in a fast-paced environment
on our highest priorities.About AnthropicAnthropic is an AI safety

interdisciplinary team has experience across ML, physics, policy,
business, and product.Representative Projects:
- Ensure product compliance with priority policies, regulatory
proposals, and guidelines in key global markets.
- Develop and publish policy papers, consultation responses, and
other written materials articulating Anthropic's approach to
responsible product development and advancing our product policy
positions.
- Shape and advance product policy positions (e.g., competition,
risk management practices).
- Support policy partnerships and collaborations with
governments, nonprofits, and/or academics to advance the use of
product/Claude for socially beneficial uses.
- Engage with key policy stakeholders (e.g., via briefings,
consultations, demos, roundtables, or by supporting senior-level
engagements) to demonstrate Anthropic's responsible product
development, share the latest product research, and build/maintain
trust.You might be a good fit if you:
- Have 5+ years of public policy experience in tech, government,
or both.
- Are adept at working with diverse cross-functional teams
(including but not limited to trust and safety, legal, product,
research, comms, and marketing).
- Are experienced in designing and advocating for concrete policy
and regulatory proposals for consumer and/or enterprise tech
products.
- Have experience briefing policymakers and government
officials.
- Are an exceptional written and verbal communicator.
- Are an eager learner who enjoys thinking through policy and
product implications of technical developments and industry
trends.
- Have the ability to work independently and adeptly in
fast-moving dynamic environments.
- Have demonstrated interest and experience in a complicated
technical subject (ideally, AI, but other examples could be quantum
computing, advanced cryptography, fusion power, etc.).
- Strong candidates may also:
- Have direct experience working in product policy (e.g., trust
and safety, public policy, or related role/team).
- Have experience in AI/ML (generative AI a bonus).
- Have expertise in copyright, privacy, competition, or other
related tech policy areas.
- Have experience developing and executing partnerships with
civil society, academia, and/or government.Annual Salary (USD)The
expected salary range for this position is $230k - $260k.We
