Join Roche, where every voice matters.The PositionWe advance science so that we all have more time with the people we love.Department SummaryAs an intern working under the guidance of the Plant Engineer, you will be exposed to various aspects of facility management and engineering in a regulated cGxP environment.This internship position is located in Pleasanton, California; fully on-site.The Opportunity:This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in facilities engineering and management, providing opportunities for learning and professional development. Additional responsibilities may be assigned to enhance your overall internship experience.

• Assist in identifying engineering needs for site facilities.
• Contribute to defining projects and developing innovative solutions.
• Assist in the implementation of engineering changes/additions nd participate in the development of project documentation
• Learn to represent the site as a Facilities Subject Matter Expert (SME) on capital projects.
• Learn about preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance and contribute to the development of maintenance strategies and programs.
• Assist in ensuring cost-effective and reliable operation of plant equipment and systems.
• Support the development and implementation of projects to improve energy conservation.
• Learn about cost and energy savings metrics and reporting and identify energy savings opportunitiesProgram Highlights
  • Intensive 12-weeks, full time (40 hours per week) paid internship.
  • Program start dates are in May/June
  • A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship.
  • Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.
  • Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.Who You Are:
    • Required Education: Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student) in an engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical preferred)
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
    • Complements our culture and the standards that guide our daily behavior & decisions: Integrity, Courage, and Passion.The expected hourly rate for this position based on the primary location for this position of Pleasanton is $25- $33. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, level, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
