• PTOJob DetailsJob Details:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team in the Construction industry. This role is integral to our business's success as you will be responsible for estimating work of considerable financial and operational significance. You will be working closely with our project management and construction management team, playing a pivotal role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed. If you are a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for construction, we would love to hear from you.Responsibilities:1. Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing project plans and specifications and identifying factors affecting costs, such as production time, materials, and labor.2. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.3. Utilize specialized software such as AgTek and HCSS for estimating and cost control.4. Conduct site visits and gather all necessary data (e.g., number of workers, equipment, and materials) to create estimates.5. Manage the cost analysis and estimating process for excavation, roadways, and grading projects.6. Coordinate with project managers, clients, vendors, and administrative staff.7. Present and explain project budgets to clients and stakeholders.8. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in the construction industry.9. Develop strategies to negotiate and manage contracts.10. Monitor the stages of a project to ensure that costs are matching the original estimate.Qualifications:1. Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field.3. Proficiency in estimating, cost control, AgTek, blueprint reading, excavation, roadways, grading, cost analysis, project management, construction management, and HCSS.4. Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.5. Exceptional ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications.6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.7. High-level proficiency in MS Office Suite and estimating software.8. Strong communication and negotiation skills.9. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.10. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.11.
