Job Description:

Eksigent Technologies, a rapidly growing startup company with groundbreaking products for the life sciences industry, is seeking a test technician for our operations group. This individual will play an important role testing and, when required, assembling instruments for high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).

Responsibilities:

Perform system level testing: software installation & set-up, liquid priming and flushing, capillary installation, electronics diagnostics, flow calibrations, etc.

Carryout test methods and analyses developed by engineering staff to qualify HPLC instruments

Diagnose and report problems for resolution by engineering staff

Assist in instrument assembly when needed

Qualifications:

5 years test experience operating and/or testing complex instrumentation, preferably analytical instruments for chemical analysis such as GC, LC, gel electrophoresis, MS, FTIR

Ability to work with small parts such as fused silica capillaries

Troubleshooting experience electro-mechanical assemblies

Chemical handling experience, particularly organic solvents

Proficiency in computer especially MS Excel, Word; ability to run Eksigent software and analysis tools

Ability to work independently

Good documentation, organization, and analytical skills
