and fun colleagues.What the 107 Service Lead does!As a part-time
107 Service Lead, you'll support all aspects of front-of-house
operations for 107 Bistro & Wine Bar, ensuring exceptional guest
service and smooth operations. This includes but is not limited to
managing reservations and seating guests, assisting 107 Servers,
maintaining the dining area, delegating to 107 FOH staff, and
inventory. Working at the historic Los Gatos winery Saturdays and
Sundays, with some weekdays Wednesday - Friday and holiday Mondays,
the day to day will include:
- Efficiently set up the host stand for the start of service and
breakdown the host stand at the end of service
- Greeting guests warmly upon arrival and promptly seat them
according to reservations, availability, and server section
management
- Managing reservations through the reservation platform,
ensuring correct table assignments and a smooth guest flow.
- Communicating the wait times effectively with guests, staff,
and management, ensuring efficient seating.
- Providing guests with information on menu offerings, specials,
and winery experiences.
- Assisting Concierge with reservations, guest requests, and
general inquiries via phone, email, text, and the reservation
system.
- Handling customer service issues professionally, ensuring
prompt and effective problem resolution, escalating to the 107
Service Manager as appropriate.
- Educate guests about the winery's history, wines, wine club and
experiences, enhancing their overall visit.
- Booking and coordinating live music, special events, large
group reservations, and private functions.
- Ensuring an exceptional experience for club members, including
handling wine club pick-ups.
- Supporting servers by delivering food and drinks accurately and
in a timely manner, taking tables as needed.
- Supporting and directing Server Assistants in pre-busing
tables, clearing dishes, and resetting tables for new guests as
needed.
- Assisting with the setup and breakdown of dining areas,
ensuring cleanliness and organization of front of house/dining
areas, restocking supplies and maintaining the service
stations.
- Tracking inventory and placing orders
- Updating and maintaining menu changes, ensuring that all
updates are accurately reflected in the POS system and printed
menus as needed.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned to
support the front-of-house team and winery goals.Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service, hospitality,
or a related field (experience in a restaurant or winery
preferred).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability
to professionally interact with guests and staff.
- Familiarity with reservation systems (e.g., Tock) and POS
systems. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software
for administrative tasks.
- Ability to address and resolve guest inquiries, special
requests, and concerns with professionalism and care.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities in a
fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining organization and
accuracy.
- Willingness to step into various roles (e.g., Server Assistant,
Host, etc.) when needed and adapt to changing priorities.Work
Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment,
both indoors and outdoors.
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, and carrying
items up to 50 pounds throughout the dining areas.
- Use of stairs, ramps, and occasional kneeling, pushing, and
pulling.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions when
required.
