Job Title: P&C Insurance QA

Job Description:

We're looking for a detail-oriented and experienced P&C Insurance QA professional to join our growing QA team. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for thorough manual testing of software applications within the insurance domain. If you have a strong foundation in quality assurance, deep knowledge of insurance processes, and enjoy working in a collaborative Agile environment, we'd love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test cases based on business and functional requirements
Perform various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
Log and track defects using test management tools such as JIRA, ALM, or TestRail
Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality deliverables
Analyze business requirements to create detailed and accurate test scenarios and test cases
Work closely with the team in an Agile setup - participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
Execute API testing using tools such as Postman, SOAP UI, or REST Assured (preferred)
Run SQL queries to validate data accuracy and integrity in backend systems
Provide clear, concise, and timely updates on testing progress and results

Required Skills & Qualifications:

3+ years of hands-on experience in manual testing
Solid understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance or Life Insurance processes (highly preferred)
Familiarity with automation testing is a plus, though the main focus will be manual testing
Working knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools
Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Nice to Have:

Experience with automation frameworks or scripting
Exposure to API testing and integration points
Prior experience in Agile/Scrum teams
