Outpatient Pro Fee Coder

Job Description:

A company is looking for an Outpatient Pro Fee Coder to ensure accurate coding of physician services from medical records.

Key Responsibilities:

Review medical records to abstract physician services and diagnosis codes accurately
Assign appropriate ICD-10 CM and ICD-10 codes with a minimum of 98% accuracy following coding guidelines
Provide documentation feedback and collaborate with operational areas to resolve coding issues

Required Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent
AHIMA or AAPC Certification required
3+ years of experience in healthcare medical coding, specifically Pro Fee Outpatient Clinic experience
Advanced knowledge of ICD-10 CM and ICD-10 coding
Cerner system experience required
