This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Mountain View, CA three times per week, at minimum.The RoleThe Compute platform team is a dynamic and fast-paced team that designs, develops, and maintains the foundational embedded software platform for SDV solutions, including drivers, operating systems, BSP, and software stack. Our team delivers platform solutions for high-end SoCs which enable running infotainment, ADAS, and other high compute applications. We offer challenging positions for passionate professionals looking to advance their careers and be a part of an organization focused on innovation, speed, and business value.The Compute Platform Team is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team to work on high-compute System-on-Chip (SoC) platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in embedded systems design and development, particularly with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as FreeRTOS or SafeRTOS, and experience working on safety-critical software development under the ASIL (Automotive Safety Integrity Level) standards. The candidate will lead and work with engineering teams across the software services and SoC vendors to build and manage a shared vehicle compute platform.What You'll Do

  • Develop high-performance hardware interfacing Real-Time Operating Systems like FreeRTOS based SafeRTOS, Linux kernel drivers, and system libraries.
  • Architect frameworks for our next generation of SoC based systems from conception to production.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and integration.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers and system architects, to ensure seamless integration of software with hardware.
  • Collaborate with other engineers to optimize performance, memory usage, and power efficiency for high-performance embedded systems.
  • Contribute to the development of safety-critical software by applying best practices for embedded software development in automotive and other safety-critical domains.
