Job Overview: Bonsai is seeking an experienced recruiting professional to assist with sourcing talent, managing recruiting, and administrative functions at the company. The ideal candidate will have experience in sourcing, recruiting, human resources, and business operations, including familiarity with finance, office management, scheduling, and other administrative tasks. This candidate will unlock the potential of Bonsai's core teams by curating and growing Bonsai's team, streamlining processes, and assisting in ensuring that day to day operations of the business are smooth and seamless. What you'll do:

• Source talent for Bonsai's core functions, including engineering, field operations, business operations, finance, and more
• Suggest, develop, and implement new HR / general company policies and initiatives, with input from the company's leadership team
• Office management, including maintaining general organization and operational efficiency, procurement of office supplies / snacks, management of the lunch program, etc.
• New employee onboarding
• Coordinating and managing deliveries at Bonsai's HQ, field office, and other locations
• Schedule and manage visitors to Bonsai's HQ office
• Company event management
• Assist the leadership and broader Bonsai team with other initiatives as assigned Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or a related field
  • 2+ years demonstrated success with sourcing and recruiting
  • Ability to operate under deadlines and ambiguity in an environment with changing priorities
  • Ability to interface professionally with C-Suite executives, customers, partners, etc.
  • Willingness and interest to operate in various areas of the business and grow skillset
  • While this is a hybrid role, this role requires availability to be at the company's San Jose HQ as needed and occasional travel to the company's field office in Davis, CA
  • Master's Degree, SHRM certification, or related further education or certifications
  • Full stack recruiting experience
  • Experience operating in the same or similar space (agriculture)
  • Experience operating in a startup environment
  • Experience working with C-level executives
  • Experience with scheduling meetings of multiple people with busy calendars
  • Experience with programs such as Slack, Confluence, and the Google Workspace ecosystem
