Software Engineer to join the Monetization team. Our team is
dedicated to enhancing Checkr's scalability, flexibility, and speed
to market for products by developing and promoting adoption of
foundational pricing and billing components. You will play a
critical role in building and enhancing systems that enable Checkr
to automate the entire quote to cash lifecycle. You will be working
on building and improving the platform to support all of Checkr's
current and future automated monetization processes.You will play a
critical role in executing proof of concept projects, driving
towards a north star architectural vision for monetizing our
background check products, and ensuring seamless internal customer
validation and platform adoption.
You will be vital in deprecating legacy platforms components to
reduce complexity and enhance developer productivity. Addressing
increased development capability and mitigating tech debt are key
challenges in this role, ensuring the robustness and reliability of

- Own the product development of features from ideation, design
collaboration, implementation, to release
- Partner closely with other Engineering and Product teams in
architecting new platform capabilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve our
products
- Deliver performant, reliable, scalable, and secure code
- Monitor, investigate, triage, and resolve production issues as
they arise for services owned by the team
- Provide mentorship to engineers on the team and across the
organizationWhat you bring
- 5+ years of backend software development experience
- Strong proficiency in at least one of Ruby (preferred), Python,
or Golang
- Strong domain modeling, object design and system architecture
skills
- Solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as
relational databases, data structure and algorithms, Object
Relational Mapping, REST APIs, microservices, etc.
- A strong sense of ownership across all aspects of the
development lifecycle
