Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Catering Manager to join our team at Chartwells Higher Education - Sacred Heart University. As a Catering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the Catering Department, including training new associates, overseeing event set-ups, and directing temporary personnel. You will ensure proper service to clients during events, including set-up, cleaning, and breakdown procedures.Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all catering events and operations, including logistics, quality improvement, sanitation, and facility-related activities.
• Work with the Chef to create menus and train catering associates in service techniques, menu presentation, and customer service.
• Track and monitor labor and food costs for each event and communicate with management, clients, and associates.
• Assist in the responsibility for all foodservice-related activities and perform other duties as assigned.Requirements
  • 2 years of food service experience, including 1 year at the management level.
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, healthcare, and/or related food service operations.
  • Catering experience is required, with some knowledge of food and catering trends.
  • Financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational skills, as well as proficiency in MS Office products and internet.
