What You'll Do: -Report to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the ideal candidate will:

• Provide Medical Nutrition therapy to patients with a variety of disease states;
• Conduct nutrition 1:1 patient assessments and diet education as needed;
• Educate patients, family members and facility staff on concepts of nutrition and diet modifications;
• Conduct appropriate patient documentation while have working knowledge of EMR charting (currently Cerner and CBORD), nutrition informatics, and the nutrition care process.   • A valid - Registered Dietitian credential; -
  • Preferably prior knowledge of patients with chronic kidney disease, wound and skin impairments, diabetes management, enteral and parenteral nutrition,as well as, critical care, oncology, cardiac care, -NICU (NICU, currently being reviewed for CCS designation) and maternity;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including communication, customer service skills while enjoying working with patients and a diverse staff;
  • The ability to participate in Quality Improvement projects;
  • Excellent time management skills, are self-starters, work well both independently and with a team of registered dietitians;

Qualifications & Requirements: Minimum Education Requirement:Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) -For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) - -Credentials Requirement:Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. - In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hireCertification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
