  • A hospital near Sacramento is looking for experienced ER nurses for a travel contract.
  • The right candidate will have 2 years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH and CA License.
    • Job Requirements
    • 2 years of experience as an ER nurse
    • Hold an active BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH
    • Hold a CA License
      • Schedule Information
      • 12 hr shifts
      • Shift starts at 645
      • Report is at the bedside
      • OT and extra shifts are available
      • Self-scheduling is used, but is not finalized until Manager balances it
      • Schedules are out 4 weeks
      • Travelers can access their schedules from home
      • Make themselves 'available' for extra shifts and make trades with other staff
      • Block scheduling is generally not available
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Certs: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
        • Ratios: 1:4
        • EMR: Cerner
        • Charge Nurse does break relief
        • Nurse Aides as census and staffing dictates
        • Every other weekend requirement
        • Rotate holidays with core staff
        • Scrub Color: Navy
        • Tele: Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips
        • Vents: No
        • Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Yes
        • IV Team: No
        • RT 24/7: Yes
        • Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
        • Floor specific orientation: 1 - 2 days on the floor with preceptor
        • Common diagnosis/Types of patients: Standard ED patient population
          • Additional Details
          • Modules are required to be done before start of assignment (3-4 hours, not billable)
          • For Holiday RTO: Travelers will work 2 of the 3 major holidays
