Position: Locum NP - Adult Medicine
Assignment Dates: December 1, 2024 - March 31, 2025 (potential for extension)
Location: Clinic-based, with some home and nursing facility visitsDescription:
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner with experience in geriatric or adult medicine to provide locum coverage for an Adult Medicine practice. The ideal candidate has significant experience in long-term care and geriatrics, with the confidence to work independently in a clinical setting. This is a full-time assignment, and our preference is for a single provider, though we will consider splitting the assignment between two qualified candidates if needed.Role Responsibilities:

• Clinical Work: 90% clinic-based work for three days per week. The NP will work independently but will have support staff available.
• Additional Duties: 10% home visits and nursing facility visits on non-clinic days, as well as completing documentation.
• Care Model: Team-based with extensive support staff in the clinic, including access to an After-Hours Nurse and Operations Director for escalated concerns.
• Documentation System: Provider will need to complete onboarding and gain EPIC access before start.Additional Details:
  • Call: Call is not required, though optional call shifts can be discussed. Call covers nights (5 PM-8 AM) and weekends (Saturday 8 AM to Monday 8 AM) with a beeper system.
  • Experience Requirements: Preferred candidates will have significant experience working independently with geriatric patients in a long-term care or similar setting.Requirements:
    • Must be a Nurse Practitioner with relevant experience in adult and/or geriatric medicine.
    • California state Advanced Practice/Nurse Practitioner License
    • Ability to work independently in clinic and conduct visits as needed.
    • Willingness to complete EPIC onboarding prior to start.
