Philanthropist.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify and oversee the development and creation of all safety
specific training.
- Understand and confirm that Truebeck's safety program complies
with all regulations.
- Provide expertise and knowledge of streamlining safety
processes in accordance with Truebeck's policies and
procedures.
- Plan and coordinate yearly Safety Summits and set new goals
based on what is learned from each summit.
- Promote relationships with OSHA/DOSH personnel.
- Develop and maintain relationships with insurance companies and
coordinate site visits.
- Partner with the leadership team to set goals and develop
strategies to enhance and improve safety plans.
- Direct a growing team of safety professionals; help with the
hiring of safety professionals and their continued
development.
- Support safety breakfast meetings.
- Conduct employee training.
- Oversee coordination of back-to-work and light duty
programs.
- Any other task or duty as assigned or required.Safety
Reporting
- Conduct hazard and risk assessments and make recommendations to
senior management to amend safety policies and procedures.
- Administer record-keeping of Occupational Safety & Health
programs.
- Distribute, coordinate, and track all safety related paperwork,
including OSHA Form 300.
- Collect, review, and communicate all claims and accident
reports and work to resolve claims as efficiently as possible.
- Manage and coordinate all workers' compensation claims
including the proper execution and distribution of required
reporting.
- Maintain an active status regarding first aid/CPR and OSHA
Training.
- Maintain a history of citations received and final
decisions.
- Maintain incident rate calculations.
- Supervise the recording and analysis of information on
injuries, damage, and production loss.
- Assess accident trends and review overall safety
performance.Business Development
- Engage internal and external clients with a clear consistent
message that ensures the recruitment of exceptional safety
talent.
- Interface within the market to partner with key safety
associations, AGC, and business leaders.
- Build and maintain an active network of contacts and create
trust based relationships.
- Answer RFP inquiries related to our safety program,
performance, and culture.Knowledge, Education, and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in construction related field or in
Occupational Safety and Health or other equivalent degrees
required.
- Ten or more years of experience managing the safety efforts of
construction jobsites with a combined value of over $100M.
- Experience with many phases of commercial construction from
ground up projects to tenant improvements.
- Experience in healthcare, High tech, Biotech, Lab Construction,
and self-perform programs.
- Able to work with all construction groups; management, owners,
trades, and subcontractors.
- Excellent communication, organization, decision making,
leadership, and problem solving skills.
- Computer skills and basic software applications.Required
Certifications
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Associate Safety
Professional (ASP).
- OSHA 500 Train the Trainers 510 OSHA Training.
- Other Safety certifications required including Fall Protection,
Excavation, Flagger, Confined Space, Scaffold, Crane Safety, Lock
Out/ Tag Out training.Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe
incumbent typically works in a construction environment where
duties will be performed indoors and outdoors. While performing the
duties of this Job, the incumbent is regularly exposed to wet
and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious
places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions;
extreme cold and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed
to toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and risk of
vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually
moderate to very loud. Overtime may be required to meet project
deadlines.The employee is regularly required to use hands to
finger, handle or feel, operate a computer keyboard, mouse and
other business machines; reach and bend with arms and hands; use
eyes to see close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and
to adjust focus; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl;
stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required
to sit and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.On occasion, the
incumbent will work in an office environment where they must use a
computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform
duties. The noise level in this work environment is typical of that
of an office. The incumbent may encounter frequent interruptions
throughout the work day. In the office, the employee is regularly
required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use
repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach,
bend or lift up to 20 pounds.
