Job Summary
#CA-FTThe Manager of Assessment, Evaluation and Scholarship (AES)
provides oversight and support for School of Medicine (SOM)
leaders, administration, and faculty through the SOM's program of
assessment and evaluation. The incumbent will provide leadership
for the team responsible for assessment of student performance,
curricular and other programmatic evaluation, and data coordination
for our learning environment, coaching programs, medical education
quality improvement, accreditation compliance, and scholarship in
medical education outcomes. The Manager works closely with the
Associate Dean for Assessment and Evaluation, Associate Dean for
Curriculum, Associate Dean for Workforce Innovation and Education
Quality Improvement and other Office of Medical Education (OME)
Deans whose focus is on Undergraduate Medical Education,
institutional directors and key leaders including committee and

Bachelor's degree in related area and
/ or equivalent experience / trainingExperience with the structure
and principles of medical education and/or higher
education.Experience with statistical software, data collection and
data management software, including Qualtrics and
tableau.Experience with evaluation management software (MedHub,
eValue, New Innovations or similar products). Supervisory and/or
leadership experience/skills in order to recruit, hire, train and
evaluate staff; analyze staffing needs and assign staff to
accomplish completion of tasks; to build a collaborative teamwork
environment among staff.Program administration experience,
preferably in medical education, which includes planning, analysis,
organization, leadership, conflict resolution, decision-making and
independent thinking. Supervisory or leadership experience in
recruiting, hiring, training, evaluating and managing a diverse
group of employees.Experience with educational measurement, student
assessment, and program evaluation in higher education. Experience
interpreting, comprehending, and applying policies, procedures, and
regulations.Exceptional communication skills to effectively act as
a spokesperson/liaison on behalf of OME with university, health
system, departments, centers, faculty, staff, trainees, and the
community.Analytical skills to solve complex problems, investigate
various sources of information and techniques, and develop
acceptable solutions.Ability to adapt to novel situations for which
standard procedures or policies are not yet defined.Ability to take
effective actions and make decisions with little or no supervision.
Ability to set and manage priorities and adhere to critical
deadlines.Ability to work well with a wide variety of people with
tact and diplomacy.Knowledge of University and Federal Policies and
Procedures applicable to OME operations. Knowledge of and
experience working with key administrative/business software and
computer systems including Windows or Mac OX Microsoft Office Suite
(Word, Excel, Power Point), web browser applications, email
applications, and People Soft/People Admin.Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in education,
assessment, or program evaluation or other relevant program of
study. Demonstrated experience with programmatic evaluation in an
academic setting.Demonstrated experience in developing a variety of
assessments in an educational and/or clinical setting. Key
