Job DescriptionJob Title: Prepared Foods Department SupervisorCompany: Whole Foods MarketJob Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Prepared Foods Department Supervisor to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our prepared foods team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer service, maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment, and leading a team of prepared foods team members.Main Responsibilities:

• Schedule and Supervise Team Members: Assist with scheduling and supervision of team members, ensuring that they are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
• Department Operations: Oversee and maintain the day-to-day flow of the department, including receiving, stocking, and merchandising prepared foods.
• Team Development: Work with the prepared foods trainer to train team members in a manner that builds and sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover.
• Cleanliness and Maintenance: Ensure that all cases and shelves are clean, well-stocked, and properly rotated.
• Opening and Closing Procedures: Assist with opening and closing the department according to established procedures.
• Customer Service: Maintain awareness of customer flows and needs, directing team members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers.Requirements:

• Leadership Experience: 12+ months of retail experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills.
• Product Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of prepared foods team procedures and policies.
• Regulatory Compliance: Advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies and procedures.
• Time Management: Strong demonstrated organizational and time management skills.Working Conditions:The ideal candidate will have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift 50 pounds, and stand/walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
