Job Description:

The Aquatics Program Director oversees all aspects of aquatics services and programming, including operations, budgeting, staffing, and customer satisfaction. This senior-level position requires managing profitability within the aquatics function while ensuring high standards of guest and employee satisfaction.

• Develop comprehensive plans to support organizational objectives and allocate resources effectively
• Manage budgetary aspects of aquatic operations and approve departmental purchases
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate resort activities
• Monitor and respond to guest comments and address operational resolutions proactively
• Recruit, train, and evaluate team members while implementing staff training and development programs
• Serve on resort Executive Committee to represent the interests of the waterpark and safety programs
• Oversee Risk Management and Safety programs Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum of 3 years experience managing large aquatics department with various waterpark attractions
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) license
  • Experience in First Aid, CPR, and AED
  • Willingness to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and/or Holidays as needed Desired Qualifications & Traits
    • College Degree
    • Emergency Medical Technician or other medical background
    • Strong conflict resolution skills and commitment to comprehensive analysis and planning Physical Requirements
      • Swim 50 yards in 4 ft. of water and retrieve a 10 lb brick from the bottom of pool
      • Sit or stand for extended periods of time
      • Extended exposure to hot and humid environments
      • Climb multiple flights of stairs
