Job Description:
Kroc Railton Place 240-242 Turk Street San Francisco, CA 94102,
USA This position is responsible for the development, coordination,
and administration of the Railton Place Transitional and Permanent
Housing Programs. This includes but is not limited to
administration for Veterans in Recovery and SA transitional
program, Homelessness for Supportive Housing and HUD VASH for
permanent housing, and the Emancipated Foster Youth Transitional
Housing program. The Program Director is required to work closely
with the Executive Director in the execution of administrative
functions and will ensure that all Salvation Army policies and
procedures and all program policies, procedures, rules,
regulations, and contract compliance requirements pertaining to the
program are followed.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct regular staff meetings and evaluate program participant
services
- Direct the day-to-day administration of program procedures and
personnel
- Work with the Business Administrator to obtain and complete
applications for contracts and funding
- Manage and update policies and procedures and operations
manuals for all programs
- Coordinate with the Executive Director for the development and
updating of goals and outcomes
- Oversee all and any financial assistance given
- Work closely with John Stewart Company in the application and
approval process
- Work with John Stewart Property management
- Conduct probationary and annual employee evaluations
- Ensure that all client documentation is accurate and
complete
- Liaison with the local Veterans office for client care and
resources
- Oversee the planning and implementation of regular house
meetings
- Review monthly staff reports and ensure the maintenance of all
statistical records
- Function as backup support to enter all grants and contracts
not related to property projects into TSAMM Grants and Contracts
module
- Provide oversight and assist with the implementation of various
programs and related services
- Develop a staff training plan
- Other related duties as requiredEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Master's degree in social work, MPA, and related field
(required)
- Experience as a Director (preferred)
- Experience in working in permanent supportive and transitional
housing
- Experience in administering & reporting government grantsSKILLS
AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to set goals, plan, organize, and implement
programs
- Strong organizational & office skills
- Maintain the highest level of integrity and confidentiality in
all areas of personnel, programs, and operations
- Detail oriented
- Demonstrates clear and effective communication skills
- Knowledge of community resources and linkages with HIV/AIDS and
substance abuse recovery communities
- Knowledgeable of the needs and challenges of the homeless as
