BFC is looking for an experienced heavy equipment mechanic to
inspect, service, and maintain our range of heavy-duty special
foundation construction equipment.

The project is a 2.3 mile Cutoff Soil Mixing Wall on a levee in the
Natomas area.
This is a seasonal job. Applicants should be local. We are unable
to offer relocation at this time.
Job Summary:As a heavy equipment mechanic, you will be responsible,
inspecting engines and equipment, carrying out services, conducting
repairs, troubleshooting electric and hydraulic systems and
providing routine maintenance to the construction fleet.
To ensure success as a heavy equipment mechanic, you should have
proven experience working with special foundation heavy machinery
(experience with BAUER equipment is strongly preferred), have an
understanding of hydraulic and electric systems, and be able to
troubleshoot issues in both workshop and out on the job site.
Requirements:Heavy Equipment Mechanic Responsibilities:
--- Inspecting large drill rigs, high pressure pumps, slurry mix
plants and other heavy equipment for proper performance.---
Diagnosing faults using computerized testing equipment.--- Trouble
shooting hydraulic and electrical systems.--- Adjusting equipment
and replacing faulty parts.--- Repairing damaged equipment
parts.--- Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on
heavy-duty machines.--- Performing major repair work when
necessary.--- Consulting with other mechanics.--- Reporting damaged
or faulty equipment to management.--- Creating parts lists needed
to repair equipment.--- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Heavy Equipment Mechanic Requirements:--- High school diploma or
GED.--- Certification as a heavy equipment mechanic.--- Proven work
experience as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic.---
Understanding of computer testing technologies.--- Ability to lift
up to 50 pounds.--- Extensive knowledge of hydraulic and electrical
systems.--- Capable of reading and understanding hydraulic and
electrical schematics.--- Ability to work after-hours if
required.--- Excellent communication skills.--- Ability to work on
a team.
Compensation and benefitsHourly Rate: $47.03
