Primary Job Responsibilities:
Our Cloud Engineering team is looking for a strong staff software engineer to help build the compute-as-a-service in our very large OpenStack Cloud. In this role, you will immediately join a dedicated team of seasoned Cloud OpenStack Engineers and have a broad range of Cloud-centric areas to work in, including compute, identity, orchestration, and operations. This is an opportunity to collaborate with a talented team of engineers spread across multiple sites, helping make our private Cloud world-class. Bring prior experience with Cloud technology and be eager to start contributing on day one.
As a Cloud engineer, you will:

• Work proactively on defects and come up with innovative solutions to fix them.
  
• Collaborate with senior engineers on the team on new cloud deployments, upgrades, and retrofits.
  
• Assist in increasing reliability and availability.
  
  Job Requirements:
  
  
• BSCS degree or equivalent software design work experience.
  
• 8 or more years of experience programming in one or more of the following: Python, Ruby, or Java (Python is preferred).
  
• Advanced-level experience with OpenStack is a plus.
  
• Experience with Linux kernel is a plus.
  
• Solid understanding of software development fundamentals.
  
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  
• Ability to work as a member of a large, distributed, and diverse team.
  
• Capacity for learning new technologies and skills rapidly is key.
  
• Advanced-level experience with virtualization technology.
  
  Education: Bachelors Degree or Equivalent.
  CANDIDATE DETAILS:
