Position Overview:
We seek an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team,
reporting to the Carshell Calculations Engineering Manager. This
full-time, in-person role is based in Sacramento, California. The
Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the structural
calculation and related activities involved in the design,
analysis, and manufacture of rail vehicle carbody structures.
Support the design, analysis, and manufacturing of rail vehicle
carbody structures. This includes performing structural assessments
of rail vehicle primary and secondary structures using a
combination of manual and Finite Element (FEA) calculation
methodologies against static and fatigue loads, crafting conceptual
and detailed structural designs for welded and machined structural
components, selecting and specifying materials, and supporting
manufacturing.

salary range for this position in Sacramento, CA, is $110,000 -
$148,800. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget
and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and
qualifications.
