institutions around the world.WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- We're looking for an experienced Lead Full-Stack Engineer (web
frontend and backend) to work on the development of our consumer
flagship product, Lumosity.
- In this role, you'll work closely with engineering teammates to
architect software systems, design and build software that is used
by large numbers of users. You will also routinely interact with
product managers, designers, domain experts, and stakeholders.
- The ideal candidate has a track record of successfully shipping
multiple software products, using different technical architectures
and languages, that are used by large audiences and has a passion
for cognitive health and wellness.WHAT YOU'LL DO
- The bulk of this position is hands-on coding.
- Lead the decision-making process with regard to system and code
architecture.
- Lead the definition of implementation details (the "how") by
working with engineering teammates to create plans and
documentation that explains how the software will be built, tested
and delivered to customers.
- Technology we use to implement our software includes ,
TypeScript, React, and GraphQL, hosted on AWS.
- Help the business and product team define software requirements
(the "what") by collaborating with product managers, stakeholders
and business leaders.
- Bring your knowledge and experience to bear to help the team
make informed choices regarding system and code architecture within
our existing tech stack ecosystem.
- Raise teammates' skills by tapping into your years of
experience to guide and mentor on topics like software system
architecting solutions, coding best practices, breaking down tasks
from requirements, estimating effort, and predictably meeting
expectations.
- Raise your knowledge and skills by working collaboratively with
teammates from various backgrounds, domain expertise and experience
levels.
- Communicate with teammates, internal and external partners, and
stakeholders.
- Participate in and help guide development processes that are

- Significant industry experience, most likely 15 years or
more.
- Worked on and delivered multiple software projects using
various technologies.
- Experience working on well-crafted, performant software systems
that serve large numbers of users.
- Significant experience using a strongly typed language.
- Experience collaborating within a diverse team toward
successful launches of software products.
