Job Description:
Job Title: Legal Secretary with a paralegal certificate or a
Paralegal open to being a legal secretary.
Job Description: Employment law is a plus, litigation is a must
This is a busy desk, lots of emails, scanning, filings, and
profiling You work a lot with PDF files, putting together binders
and using Word 2010.
Looking for an legal secretary to work a primarily Litigation Desk.
Must have strong litigation background. with 5+ years legal
background. This firm does both transaction and litigation work at
this firm and would like the candidate to be knowledgeable of the
courts, how to file docs/motions and possess excellent Word skills
to be utilized in document writing with great comfort in
reformatting and styling the documents as well as PowerPoint.
This Legal Secretary will be supporting 3-4 lawyers one being a
Partner in a mid sized office.
We are looking for someone friendly, outgoing, driven and dedicated
with a strong work ethic. Typical hours would be 8-5pm or 8:30 am
to 5:30 pm with occassional OT.
This firm specializes in working with the school districts.
Skills/ Competencies: Type 80 wpm. Shorthand at 100 wpm (optional
based on office). Command of verbal and written communication
skills for contact and interaction with as attorneys, court
personnel, policyholders, and claims staff. Ability to operate
business machines such as photocopier, calculator, transcriber, and
personal computer with business and legal software.
Behavior Characteristics:
Three years experience as a Legal Secretary in a law office MUST
HAVE A PARALEGAL CERTIFICATE. Prefer experience in employment law.
