FINANCIAL OFFICER:The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key
leadership role for the Paradise Irrigation District. Under
administrative direction and policy direction of the Board of
Directors, the CFO plans, organizes, and directs the financial and
accounting functions of the District; assists the District Manager
with the protection of District assets and the maintenance of
budget controls; performs the most complex accounting functions;
invests District funds, and provides direction for implementing
financial policies and programs.THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:The ideal
candidate is a strategic thinker with extensive experience in
financial and fiscal management within private sector industry or
independent special enterprise districts. This experience should
also include at least five years of responsible professional
experience in a management or supervisory capacity.A bachelor's
degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or closely
related field from an accredited college or university is required.
A CPA license is desirable.THE ORGANIZATION:Paradise Irrigation
District (PID) has served the water needs of the Paradise
(California) community since 1916; while the district began as a
provider of agricultural water, the focus of services has shifted
over the years to primarily residential and business customers.
With the devastation of the 2018 Camp Fire, the District's current
focus is providing quality water service as the Ridge community
continues its rebuilding and recovery.COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:The
salary range is $130,000 to $160,000 annually. Benefits include a
generous 9% deferred compensation with up to 3% additional matching
opportunities, medical, dental, and vision plan coverage for
employee and dependents, $50,000 paid life insurance coverage, flex
benefits plan, long-term disability, and paid holidays, sick, and
vacation programs.
