The Stanford Accelerator for Learning seeks to hire a highly
skilled and motivated Digital Community Associate to join our
efforts in advancing Stanford's impact in the world. This new role
will be responsible for executing digital marketing and
communications strategies, primarily focusing on the Accelerator
website and social media channels. Through various communications
activities, the Digital Community Associate will help build
visibility for Accelerator programs, research, and innovations, and
support its goal of transforming the lives of learners
worldwide.

differences, and systems change & policy.POSITION SUMMARYThe
Digital Community Associate will manage the Accelerator website and
curate content for social posts and other online platforms. The
role is highly collaborative and will work across teams and with
faculty members, external partners, vendors, and others. The
position, which reports to the Director of Communications for the
Accelerator, is 30 hours per week (or 75% FTE) and hybrid with the
expectation that work assignments will include occasionally
attending on-campus, in-person events and interviews. It is a
2-year term with the possibility of renewal.Your primary
responsibilities will include:Website:
- Update pages by adding new stories, events, announcements, and
other content that spotlight the mission, goals, and work of the
Accelerator;
- Work to periodically refresh website visual content;
- Identify areas of improvement from a UI/UX perspective and work
with the Sr. Designer & Developer to develop and deploy website
enhancements.Social Media:
- Maintain Accelerator social channels and grow its digital
community;
- Curate and summarize stories about research and impact to post
on social media channels;
- Optimize content cadence, follow a content calendar, and
support marketing and communications strategies for events and
programs;
- Compile data, analyze and report on social media use, including
how content is performing and create recommendations for
management.To be successful in this position, you will
bring:Bachelor's degree and 1 year of relevant experience or
combination of education and relevant experience.Knowledge, Skills
and Abilities:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal communications
groups across campus.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills.
- Capacity to synthesize materials and communicate information in
a manner easily understood.
- Experience with managing projects to specifications and to meet
expected deadlines.
- Ability to perform detailed work with a high level of accuracy
and attention to detail.Preferred Qualifications:
- Communications experience in a nonprofit or education sector,
including industry. Familiarity with education trends is highly
desirable.
- Social media management experience in education or technology
industry.
- Experience in photography, video, and/or graphic design.
- Familiarity working with project, content, and creative asset
management systems including Adobe Creative, Asana, Khoros, and
Canva.Physical Requirements:
- Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
- Occasionally stand/walk, reach/work above shoulders, grasp
lightly/fine manipulation, grasp forcefully, use a telephone,
sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that
weigh up to 10 pounds.
- Rarely twist/bend/stoop/squat, kneel/crawl.The expected pay
range for this position is $60,981 to $70,120 per annum.Stanford
University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate
of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position.
The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on
factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities
of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate,
departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic
